Carmean is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts where he was a 3-time All-American: garnering 1st Team All American honors in his senior year. He has gone on to a successful coaching career that has spanned 3 decades, including a 3 year stop at his alma mater UMass as assistant coach and offensive coordinator, an 11 year position as Head Coach at Amherst College followed by 8 seasons as the Head Coach of Guilford College. Carmean has also spent considerable time in the Pro Ranks.
Along with a 4 year stint in the MLL as the Offensive Coordinator for the Charlotte Hounds, he amassed a 12 year playing career in what is now the NLL and the MLL. As a professional player Carmean was awarded All-Pro status 5 times and was recently listed by Inside Lacrosse as #10 in the top 30 American players to play professional indoor lacrosse. He is an inductee of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame, New England Chapter as well the Western Massachusetts Chapter.
Suzanne Zelazo has recently relocated from Toronto, Canada to Southern Maine. She is an NCCP (Canada) triathlon coach who works with a range of athletes from beginner to the professional level and from short course to Ironman. A former professional long course triathlete herself, Suzanne understands the complexity of the sport from multiple angles. She works primarily with individual athletes but spent a decade coaching competitive running clubs including with the University of Toronto triathlon club. Suzanne holds a PhD in English literature, is a writer, editor, publisher, and educator who has taught at numerous colleges and universities in Ontario. Suzanne is also the former Managing Editor of Triathlon Canada Magazine.
